The aim of this meeting was to review developments in trace gas analysis, both in terms of the measurement technologies and the applications for their use. Talks covered research into the validation and calibration of different techniques, reviews of the current and future requirements for industrial and environmental trace gas measurements, and discussion on some of the latest technological developments in sensing instrumentation. The meeting was jointly sponsored by the DTI as part of the Valid Analytical Measurement (VAM) Programme, and by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
