Analytical techniques for monitoring air pollutants have generated automated, real time data in the field for several decades. Recent developments, such as more robust and portable instrumentation, have enabled techniques once regarded as laboratory techniques to be used for field operations.
This one-day meeting will include presentations on the current state of techniques available or potentially available for automated use in the field, such as ion chromatography, mass spectrometry and FTIR. Experience gained by using these techniques, particularly for regulatory purposes will also be covered.
The presentations will be supported by an exhibition.
There will also be an opportunity to visit the laboratory facilities at NPL. |
